Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)

Everyone who works in an NT school must hold a current working with children clearance (Ochre card) or have an exemption.

Apply for your Ochre card through NT Police’s NT.

Obtaining a NT Schools account

Pre-service teachers who have secured and confirmed a professional experience placement are required to register for an NT Schools account.

It gives you access to online learning resources, professional learning opportunities and information about teaching in Northern Territory schools. Your account will also help you prepare for the school setting before your placement starts.

Finished your placements

When you’ve completed your professional experience placement, the department might contact you to ask you for some feedback about your placement experience.
